Hannah Montana!

Monday, March 17, 2008

The other day I was coming home from somewhere and a song came on the radio that I kind of liked....ok that's not news...but when I got home and did a search for the song, I was a bit horrified that it was off the Hannah Montana 2 soundtrack! I guess there is no hope for me to ever grow up. Oh well, I downloaded it and of course Sydney and I had to jam out.

Candy Factory.

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Our adventures this week in no particular order include visiting Cerreta's Candy Factory for a preschool field trip, going to the zoo, and a way fun girls night out with some of my friends! First the Candy Factory. Although you really couldn't see much of what was going on up close, it smelled soooo good inside. I think their main products are different kinds of chocolates and caramels. It was a bit of a stressful morning to make it to the factory on time. First I had to watch my friends little girl (abt. 16 mo.) and take her along on our field trip along with Sophie. Even though I tried to get as much stuff ready the night before it was still pretty hectic. Right before we were supposed to leave Sydney managed to throw up all over the carpet in the hallway...on her way to the tub...and in the tub. Yuck! She wasn't sick, just bouncing off the walls after her breakfast because she was so excited. So I had to clean the carpets, clean out the tub, give Sydney a shower, calm down my friends toddler, and try and keep Sophie from getting into everything! Kids!
Thank goodness once we arrived, my friends little girl fell asleep in our stroller and I strapped Sophie onto myself in one of those baby carrier things. Sydney was very excited to make her own chocolate pizza and I was appreciative of all the chocolate and mint samples the factory tour guide gave everyone, including the adults!
Here she is pouring on the white chocolate all over her "pizza". Too much is not a concept when it comes to chocolate!
Then several days later we went to the Phoenix zoo with my friend Carly and her daughter Addison. Even though Addison is several years younger than Sydney they still had lots of fun. Sydney said her favorite part was petting the sting rays (which I didn't get a picture of because Sydney was pretty much ready to dive into the big pool with the sting rays, except I was holding her back).
This is mostly just to remind myself that I still have friends and once in awhile I get to do something fun that does not involve kids! We used my friend Summer (front left) as an excuse to get together and had an impromptu baby shower for her fifth baby! Congratulations Summer! Anyway, it was fun to get together with some of my friends and just talk. We were almost the last people left at this place because time flys of course when a bunch of women are talking!
